We focus on improving movement, strength, and function through exercise and movement education. We work with clients to enhance performance, prevent injury, and build efficient movement patterns over time.
A physical therapist typically treats injuries, pain, or medical conditions through hands-on therapy, rehabilitation, and clinical interventions. Physical therapy often begins after an injury or surgery and may involve manual techniques and medical treatment plans.
While the roles are different, they complement each other well. Kinesiologists often work alongside or receive referrals from physical therapists to support long-term movement quality, strength, and functional progress once clinical care is complete.

The fitness industry is wide-ranging, with certifications that span from brief courses requiring no prior background to extensive programs involving years of formal education.
Stacy is both a Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has completed 7 years of college and postgraduate education focused on the body and the mechanics of movement, in addition to over 10 years of experience in the field.
Unlike traditional personal training, our approach focuses on how you move—not just on how much weight you lift or how many repetitions you complete. We prioritize movement quality and sequencing, carefully selecting exercises that are appropriate for each individual. Proper form and efficient movement patterns are our starting point; as these patterns improve, we progressively load the body in a way that supports long-term function and performance.
Due to injury, inactivity, pregnancy, chronic stress, busy lifestyles, and prolonged sitting or sedentary behavior at home or work, the body naturally adapts and compensates over time. These adaptations often lead to tightness, stiffness, imbalances, inefficient movement patterns, and suboptimal breathing patterns.
When people return to exercise, movement can feel awkward, restricted, or unfamiliar.
Our goal is to identify and change automatic movement patterns that no longer serve the body, and retrain it to move as it was designed.
This process requires effort—much like changing any habit—but the result is a body that moves more freely, efficiently, and confidently.

We do not provide hands-on therapy in the traditional sense. Our focus is on helping your brain and muscles learn to communicate more effectively through movement and exercise. At times, we may use light tactile cues to help you better understand an exercise or movement pattern, but our primary approach is active, not passive.
Hands-on therapy can be a great complement to our work, and we are happy to collaborate with or refer you to those professionals if needed.

It is difficult to determine the exact number of sessions in advance, as lasting improvements come from ongoing coaching and practice. Each person’s body and movement patterns are unique, so we focus on consistent progress, refining and improving how you move over time. Together, we will create a plan that fits your goals, schedule, and lifestyle.

Please wear comfortable athletic clothing to your appointment. To make the most of your time with us, we kindly ask that all required forms be completed prior to your scheduled appointment.
-
During your appointment, we will begin by reviewing your health and movement history. We will then go through movement and postural assessments, including posture photos and, at times, short videos to establish a baseline and better understand how your body moves. Based on these findings, we will create a personalized corrective/repatterning exercise routine and coach you through each exercise to ensure proper form and understanding.
